Nepal was my first time in Asia, and as a solo female traveler I was a little anxious. I booked a trek to Everest Base camp and Island Peak with Sanjib (Independent trekking guide in Nepal) after a recommendation from a friend. I had really quick and personable responses from Sanjib prior to my arrival, which made me feel confident. When I landed at the airport, Sanjib was there to greet me. I felt so comforted! That has been my overall experience with Sanjib... I felt welcomed and taken care of by a family. Sanjib takes care of everything you might possibly need. Sanjib and the porters on the trek were fantastic. Patient, supportive, and fun! Everything exceeded my expectations. I ended up signing up for a second trek, the Indigenous People's Trek, which was an amazing cultural experience (Thank you Sanjib!).. I would not choose another guiding company in Nepal!
